St. Philip Neri carried this spirit throughout his life:

"A joyful heart is more easily made perfect than a downcast one."

Knights of Columbus is a fraternal benefit, non-profit organization started by Fr. Michael J. McGivney in New Haven, CT, in 1882.  An insurance program is available to members and their families that is voluntary.  Members in good standing are covered by a $2500 accidental death benefit at no cost.

The KCís are a worldwide fraternity of 2 million men in 6 countries. Last year the KCís gave nearly 177 million dollars to the Popeís charities. Worldwide 75 million man hours were given by the KCís towards Service of charitable activities. The KCís help finance the building of Catholic Churches around the world. The KC's also helped finance the restoration of the dome of the National Cathedral in Washington, D.C.

Our SPN KC Council 2893 has two barbecues a year to raise money for different charities. They are held on the Sunday after Mothersí Day and the Sunday before Thanksgiving.

We give of our time for the love of serving the Church. Before ACTS, this was the only group of men the Priests had to rely on for help. We are here to serve the Church and Priests in whatever capacity we can help. We are Extraordinary Ministers of Communion, Lectors, Ushers and CCD teachers.

Currently we are assisting St. Philip Neri with funding for the new pavilion next to the hall. Our Council 2893 gives scholarship money for the seminarians. We contribute to the prolife activities in our area. Council 2893 helped to purchase a new trailer for use by the food program and the ACTS team.

--Meetings are held the 2nd Tuesday of the month at the SPN Church Hall, 607 Fourth Avenue, at 7:00pm.

--To be a member a man has to be 18 years old and a Practical Catholic in Communion with the Holy See.
